Fritz Bixler, AMFT & APCC
Meet Fritz
How I work with you:
I offer a personalized approach to self-discovery and healing. I dedicate my work to helping you carve out your unique path to self-actualization through drama therapy.
Drama therapy utilizes a range of embodied techniques to reclaim your narrative, explore new roles, and tap into your creative energy. By engaging in creative play, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and hone the skills we need to improve our lives.
I have a passion for supporting neurodiverse clients and those on the path to recovery from trauma and abuse. The LGBTQ+ community is very important to me, and I am committed to providing affirming therapy and removing barriers to care.
I also have a talent for assessment services for Autism and ADHD.

My Education and Experience:
I have a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with a concentration in Drama Therapy. As an undergraduate, I double majored in Theater & Performance Studies and History at Stanford University, and have a background in playwriting, directing, and community organizing.
Before going into private practice, I worked as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, focusing on trauma recovery and the treatment of co-occurring mental health conditions. I also co-founded the Drama Therapy Coalition for Justice at CIIS, and am a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association.
