Grace Walcott, AMFT
Hello,
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and a Provisional Registered Drama Therapist.
I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I work with individuals, couples, polyamorous families, and teenagers.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a professional author, playwright, actor, and Pilates Instructor. In these roles, I have learned how to utilize creativity, art, and somatic experiences for healing. I am also interested in how self-care, effective communication, and meditation can decrease stress and help to heal trauma. I have written extensively about Relationship Artistry, principles, and practices that improve connection and authenticity in any relationship. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ folks, women, and people struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

I am a filmmaker and recently produced the film River of Life LGBTQ+ which documents a ten-week multigenerational Drama Therapy workshop (facilitated by me) that focused on alleviating internalized queerphobia and building unity in the LGBTQIA+ community.
